Chipping Homes donates £1,900 to St Mary’s RC School in Chipping.

We were delighted to donate £1,900 to St Mary’s RC School in Chipping to help raise money for their School Bus Fund.

The money was raised by Pat Farnham, our Site Manager on our Fellside Development, Chipping after he completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. The monies were raised both by us and site contractor Harry Fairclough and staff onsite to help the school meet their target.

St Mary’s are hoping to get the bus in time to be used for sporting events in the new term, which they hope will help them stay in their newly gained First Position in the Preston Small Schools Sporting Championships. They are also intending to use the bus for other school trips and events, with the possibility of even offering a school service to children who live outside the village of Chipping in the future.

Head Teacher, Mary Morris was delighted with the donation.

“We are extremely grateful and humbled by such a kind and thoughtful gesture. We strive to look after all the needs of all our children at St. Mary’s Primary School regardless of ability and having a mini bus means that we can ensure that all our children get the opportunity to take part in many activities out of school. Thank you so very much!’
